What: The finest smallmouth waters anywhere. We specialize in unique wilderness smallmouth
fishing trips into the protected boundary waters of Minnesota
and Canada's Quetico park. We offer remote fishing where the fish are untouched by cooler fisherman and motorboats. Catch and release, barbless hooks and no live bait helps keep this fantastic fishery in tact. Here you can catch big smallmouth, walleyes, northern pike and lake trout.
When: Our season is mid May to mid September. Late May and June are the best top water months and great for fly fishing. The summer is the best for big fish out on the main lake structure.
Where: We are located on the northeastern edge of Minnesota 100 miles north of Duluth near Ely. We fish the wild side of the Minnesota/Canadian border in an area set aside as canoe only wilderness. This area is known as The Boundary Waters Canoe Area and Canada's Quetico Park. It's big. You can spend your entire life fishing these fertile waters and it would be worth it. We can help.
How much: We can set you up with a weeks basic canoe trip for as little as $400 or our 5 day deluxe guided trip for two with one guide for around $1250.
